Still looking for work?

Its holiday time and your still unemployed. What now?

The worst time to look for a position is around holiday time. But don't worry you should still apply. Just because its the holidays doesn't mean your job search should end. Take this opportunity to fill out as many applications as you can. Something should stick. After the new year you can feel assured in receiving a call back from someone.

Here are some tips you should consider:

1. Fine tune your resume to the specific job/ position to which you are applying.

2. Consider networking every chance you get. (Social networking is your best bet)

3. Apply to several temp agencies in your area just so you can stay busy and keep your skills in tact.

4. Do NOT post your resume on Careerbuilder. It is a swamp for spammers.

5. Remain positive. Positive thinking leads to positive results.

6. Read a book! This may be the least of your concerns. But reading or studying for a certification can not only help you feel better but can also enhance your skill set while waiting to be employed. Stay busy!

**Do not lose hope. Although the job market is not stable. People are getting hired everyday. Keep trying and don't give up. :)
